Comcast Pop3 and SMTP server settings allow you to perform email on your device of gadgets. some of them don’t know how to configure it so, simple steps are here.
POP3 is a server protocol that stands for Post Office Protocol version 3. It is responsible for downloading the incoming mails for your email account from the server.
SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is responsible for sending emails from your email client.
If you wish to add your Comcast email to the email clients, you must configure the POP3 and SMTP settings for Comcast email.
Server settings for Comcast email:
The incoming mail server name for Comcast email is pop3.comcast.net, and the port number for a secure connection is 995(SSL).
The outgoing mail server name for Comcast email is smtp.comcast.net, and the port number for encrypted connection is 587(SSL or TLS) for Pop3 And Smtp Server Settings.
For authentication, enter your Comcast username and password.
POP3 and SMTP Server Settings
Carry out these steps to configure your Comcast email in Outlook 2016:
Open the Outlook 2016 on your desktop and click on the File tab that is available on the top-left corner of the screen.
Select Account Settings twice and click NewE-mail Account Next.
Confirm the Manual setup or additional server types radio button and click Next.
Choose the POP tab and fill the User Information, Server Information, Login information under the User Information field, type your name, and email address.
Under the Server Information field, enter comcast.net as the incoming mail server.
The outgoing mail server should be smtp.comcast.net.Make sure that the POP3 is selected in the Account Type pull-down menu.
Under the Login Information field, enter your Comcast email-id and password.
Give a left-click on the More Settings button and select the Outgoing ServerMark the Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button and click OK.
Select the Advanced tab and enter 995 as the Incoming server(POP) port number and SSL as the encrypted connection type.
If you select the POP server option, the mail will be saved locally. You need the internet when you want to send or receive emails.
But in case, if you select the IMAP server option, you should have an internet connection to access the emails. After setting the server type, navigate to the Settings option for sync email to iPhone.
Touch the Mail, Contacts, Calendars option and then tap the Add an Account option.
Select the Other option and then tap the Add Mail Account option. Fill the name, email address, and password in the appropriate fields.
After filling the relevant details, touch the Next option. For the outgoing and incoming server, specify the hostname, username, and password.
To send emails from Go Daddy account, it is mandatory to mention the outgoing server.
If you set the server type as POP, tap Save Next. If you set the server type as IMAP, the Go Daddy email will be set once you have filled the appropriate details.
The hostname should be either pop.secureserver.net or imap.secureserver.net.
Once you have performed the steps mentioned above, sign in to the Go Daddy account and then check the settings for verification and to sync email to iPhone.
How to Sync Email with iPhone 5?
Add your email account on the Accounts screen.
Fill the Username, Password, and Description field.
Select the Advanced option and then check the settings.
Open the Sync page and select the items that you need to sync.
Press the options until you see the green sign finally you will sync email to iPhone.
How to Sync Microsoft Outlook Email with iPhone 5?
On your iPhone device, navigate to Settings Mail, Contacts and Calendars.
Select the Add Account option and then tap the Microsoft Exchange option.
Make sure to leave the Domain field empty and then fill the remaining Email, Username, and Password fields with the appropriate information.
Select the Next option and then select the data that you need to sync.
How to Sync AT&T Email with iPhone?
On your iPhone device, navigate to the Settings application.
Select Mail, Contacts and Calendars option and then touch the Add Account option. Select Other Add Mail Account.
Now, you have to enter the Name, Email ID, Password, Description fields with the correct details.
Select the IMAP option from the Incoming Mail Server menu.
Then, fill the Host Name, Username, and Password fields with the appropriate information.
The hostname of the incoming mail server should be imap.mai.att.net.
Navigate to the Outgoing Mail Server section, enter the correct details in the Host Name, Username, and Password fields for sync email to iPhone.
When the next window opens, tap the Save option.
Select the SMTP option from the Outgoing Mail Server menu. Go to the Main Server section, tap smtp.mail.att.net from the displayed list.
Check the SSL and Serverport fields. Touch the Done option and then move to the previous window.
Select the Advanced tab and check the Server port and SSL fields. Once you performed all the steps provided above, close the existing screen and then restart the iPhone.
