Comcast POP 3 And SMTP Server Settings

Comcast Pop3 and SMTP server settings allow you to perform email on your device of gadgets. some of them don’t know how to configure it so, simple steps are here.
POP3 is a server protocol that stands for Post Office Protocol version 3. It is responsible for downloading the incoming mails for your email account from the server. 
SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is responsible for sending emails from your email client.
If you wish to add your Comcast email to the email clients, you must configure the POP3 and SMTP settings for Comcast email.

Server settings for Comcast email:

  • The incoming mail server name for Comcast email is pop3.comcast.net, and the port number for a secure connection is 995(SSL).
  • The outgoing mail server name for Comcast email is smtp.comcast.net, and the port number for encrypted connection is 587(SSL or TLS) for Pop3 And Smtp Server Settings.
  • For authentication, enter your Comcast username and password.
POP3 and SMTP Server Settings

Carry out these steps to configure your Comcast email in Outlook 2016:

  • Open the Outlook 2016 on your desktop and click on the File tab that is available on the top-left corner of the screen.
  • Select Account Settings twice and click NewE-mail Account Next.
  • Confirm the Manual setup or additional server types radio button and click Next.
  • Choose the POP tab and fill the User InformationServer InformationLogin information under the User Information field, type your name, and email address.
  • Under the Server Information field, enter comcast.net as the incoming mail server. 
  • The outgoing mail server should be smtp.comcast.net.Make sure that the POP3 is selected in the Account Type pull-down menu.
  • Under the Login Information field, enter your Comcast email-id and password.
  • Give a left-click on the More Settings button and select the Outgoing ServerMark the Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button and click OK.
  • Select the Advanced tab and enter 995 as the Incoming server(POP) port number and SSL as the encrypted connection type.
  • Type 587 in the Outgoing server(SMTP) field.
  • Choose TLS from the encrypted connection drop-down menu.
  • Click OK to close the Advanced tab and select the Test Account Settings option to verify the server settings.
Now, you can easily access your Comcast email account on Outlook 2016 in POP 3 And SMTP Server Settings.
